When I was 14 years old I went riding with my sister. I remember riding in fresh falling snow on a warmer Christmas eve night in Northern Wisconsin. Side by side, my sister and I just walked down the road. We were singing Christmas songs together and dreaming of Christmas morning like two young girls love to do. We were on a back country road and our horses hoof prints were the only marks left in the fresh snow. It was a ride that was just so simple, but yet it would last a life time. It was not the greatest adventure, but it certainly was the greatest company. I think at that moment, I felt closer to my sister than I have ever been in my life. The entire ride was just a magical Christmas ride, that has been close in my memory for the last 40 years. That was my all-time favorite ride.
